Get the police to the scene, even if the accident seems minor. Call 911 or ask someone else to call. When officers from local law enforcement or the Kentucky State Police arrive, they will do several things. They will secure the scene. They will get help for people who are injured. (Be sure to get medical attention, even if you feel OK.) And they will also investigate the crash and complete an accident report, known as the Kentucky Uniform Police Traffic Collision Report. The information in this report will be helpful when you file a claim for financial compensation.
